Derek Luke, star of Denzel Washington's Antwon Fisher, shines in this political thriller on reluctant South African hero Patrick Chamusso and his journey to freedom. Chamusso, an oil refinery foreman and soccer coach, was apolitical - until he and his wife Precious were jailed and he was stunned into action against the country's oppressive system.

ABOUT FAMILY FIRST FRIDAY

FAMILY FIRST FRIDAY is a community gathering that includes dinner, film screening and town meeting. The series which started in 2005 to address topics ranging from AIDS, Crime, Homophobia, Poverty, Racism and many other issues affecting communities of color. Each event is FREE* and open to the public (*suggested donation is $5) and include a complimentary dinner and feature film followed by a panel discussion with filmmakers, activist and community leaders.

The mission of FAMILY FIRST FRIDAY is to bring together families and communities, to talk about issues that mass media won't. Past Family First Friday films included THE UNTOLD STORY OF LOUIS EMMETT TILL", "THE N WORD", and the Academy Award winning film "TSOTSI" to name a few.

At FIRST FAMILY FRIDAY we encourage you to GET INVOLVE and GET INTO IT!
